They aren't after you, and aren't interested in reading your e-mails. Hackers ("crackers", actually), are just after the easy accounts they can compromise. So, if you're the one with a bad or reused password, your account is the one that might be used to send spam or participate in a cyberattack at some point.

Short version: if you can memorise your passwords, they're not good enough. Generate them automatically. Make them long. Use a password manager. And double authentification everywhere you can.
